They bounced off Aris's shield. Aris jumped and swing the sword across Darkness's armored face. He wailed in pain, and swung his arm at Aris. Aris dodged, and the sword and shield formed an enormous Zweihander like Phoenix's.

He then countered by slamming the blade into Darkness's chest. Darkness wailed, and did not notice Spero.

Darkness stopped throwing the projectiles, and opened his mouth again, a glow coming from inside.
"Throw it at his face! Aim foe the cracks I've made!" The staff turned into a bow, and Aris pulled the string back. An arrow materialized in it, and he shot it. The arrow of light streaked through the air and slammed into one of the crack in the mask on Darkness's face. Darkness wailed in pain as he shot the energy beam, but missed by a long shot as he reared his head in agony.
